What is fraction to percent?
A fraction is the way to show a part of a whole. It consists of two numbers: the numerator and the denominator. A percent (%) is another simple way to show a fraction, but percent is always compared to 100. Converting a fraction to a percent means changing the fraction into a number that shows how much it is out of 100.

Formula for Fraction to Percent
Using this formula, you can convert any fraction into a percentage easily.
The first step is to convert the fraction into a decimal by dividing the top number (numerator) by the bottom number (denominator). The decimal value represents how much of the whole is taken.
Multiply the result by 100, this step moves the decimal point two places to the right and turns the number into a percentage. This makes it easier to compare with other percentages.
Add the percent sign (%), this final step completely converts the number as a percentage, meaning it’s out of 100. For example; if your result is 50 after multiplication, adding a percent sign makes it 50%.
3 ÷ 4 = 0.75 × 100 = 75%.
